What data Loopra stores
Loopra stores the following data locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local:
- Loop names, start times (A), and end times (B) that you create
- The YouTube Music page URL and song title associated with each loop
- Your preferred display language (English or Japanese)
This data exists solely to restore your loops the next time you visit the same song. It is never transmitted anywhere.
What data Loopra does NOT collect
- No personal information (name, email, account details)
- No browsing history outside of music.youtube.com
- No analytics, crash reports, or usage statistics
- No cookies
Permissions explained
Loopra requests the following Chrome permissions and uses them only as described:
- storage — to save your loops locally in your browser
- tabs — to detect when you navigate to or away from YouTube Music, so the extension can enable or disable itself accordingly
- activeTab — to communicate with the YouTube Music page to read playback position and control the player
- sidePanel — to display the Loopra interface in Chrome's side panel
Access to page content is limited exclusively to music.youtube.com via the host permission declaration in the extension manifest.
Third-party services
Loopra does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or external APIs. The extension operates entirely within your browser.
Data deletion
All data stored by Loopra can be deleted at any time by:
- Using the built-in data editor within the extension to remove individual songs or loops
- Uninstalling the extension, which removes all associated local storage
- Clearing your browser's extension storage via Chrome settings
Children's privacy
Loopra does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The extension collects no personal information from any user regardless of age.
Changes to this policy
If this privacy policy is updated, the new version will be published at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the extension after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
